Site details
All sites are assessed by head office. The site must conform to our criteria. Head office also assists with the negotiation of lease agreements for prospective sites. We ensure that every Pantsula Bites franchise is opened in the best possible location with a suitable lease agreement. As they say in this industry, there are three very important factors to ensure a restaurant's success: location, location and location. We obviously feel that other factors also come into play, however the right site will make a significant difference in a franchisee's success.

The franchise agreement is the legal document that dictates the legal, commercial and operational relationship between the franchisor and franchisee. Pantsula Bites urges all prospective franchisees to seek legal advice before signing the agreement.

• 1) Management fee: Pantsula Bites management fee is 5% of monthly turnover calculated excluding VAT.
• 2) Advertising fee: Pantsula Bites advertising fee is 2% of monthly turnover calculated excluding VAT. We do however reserve the right to increase it to 5% as the need arises.
• Obligations of the franchisor
  Our obligations to our franchisees include providing:
• - The franchisee with a turnkey operation
• - The franchisee with adequate training for the staff and management of the franchise.

- The franchisee with a recipe and operations manual, and instructions on the use thereof.

- The franchisee with the best available prices from our distributors.

- Providing a consistent high quality product that is supplied by our central kitchen

- Professional marketing on behalf of the franchisee

- Ongoing operational assistance

- The franchisee with the latest developments in the industry

All prospective franchisees are encouraged to contact the owners or otherwise visit any of the existing franchisees with regard to the viability of the franchise as a whole.

Financial information
The total investment of +- R1,300 000 is made up of the following costs (ex VAT):

1. Initial franchisee fee: Initial franchisee fee is R95,000 + VAT which is required from the franchisee to confirm commitment.
2. Establishment costs: Establishment costs for a Pantsula Bites is approximately R1,200 000 based on a 150m2 store size. Costs however do vary in accordance with various factors. Size of store, exchange rates and numerous other factors affect this estimate.
3. Unencumbered cash: A minimum of R500,000.00 unencumbered cash is required.
4. Initial working capital: Initial working capital of +- R65,000.00 is required. This cost however does vary and is merely an estimate.
