Franchise Fees

The franchise fee is a one off payment of R 180 000.00 ex VAT for a new store and R 80 000,00 when an existing store is being purchased subject to that store being brought back up to standard if and when required.

It secures the rights to trade from the premises concerned, using the O'Hagan's Irish Pub and Grill trademarks and business format. The franchise fee is not a deposit and once paid, it becomes non-refundable.

Service fee is applicable

5% of turnover: This amount is paid monthly by the franchisee to the franchisor. It is the franchisor's main source of income and covers the cost of maintaining and developing the franchise.

Advertising levy is applicable

3% of turnover: All marketing, advertising and promotional activities are decided by the Brand Manager.

We also have a Community Marketing Programme which franchisees have to initiate independently.

The Process

1 - To secure an exclusive territory we charge R 30 000,00 ex VAT, non refundable which is payable on signature of your your territory agreement.
2 - We will then visit any procured site and give you a budget costing to setup your new store.
3 - On approval of the budget we will sign a franchise agreement. The cost is R180 000,00 ex VAT less the R 30 000,00 already paid.
4 - We will then design the store and go out to tender.
5 - On acceptance of quotes, you will need to secure funds and supply proof within 30 days of budget delivery.
6 - After proof of funding, a dateline will be given to you for the setup of your store.
7 - Seven weeks prior to opening, training for you and your kitchen manager will take place in Johannesburg.
8 - At the same time an operation manager will be assigned to your store and will move on site two weeks prior to opening to help you with staff employment, training and finishing of the store. He will help with your opening day and will remain in store until the first cost of sale stock take (done weekly), no less than 10 days after opening day.
9 - Thereafter he will visit your store at least two days per month. Statutory registrations need to be met well in advance i.e.: the registration of your cc or Pty during this process.
